I'm new to this, so bear with me.
So I've been in therapy for nearly a year and just recently (over the past 5 months or so?) have developed a maternal-like transference for my female T.
I usually see her once a week, but occasionally she'll have to travel interstate for work or takes short trips (lucky!). Whenever she's gone for a week or so and there are week-long gaps in between sessions, I overwhelm myself with thoughts that I'm not going to cope without her, something terrible will happen and I'll completely break down or that she's abandoned me and is never coming back.

I guess I'm looking to use this thread as a support-type thing for the next week. I've just started school again, and the stress I'm already putting on myself for school compiled with what I'm in therapy for (MDD/dysthymia, AN) is a big trigger for me ..

Can you talk to her about how you feel? I know it's too late for this particular trip, but if you worked out some way to be reminded that she is still there when she goes on vacation (like sending you a text reminding you know she'll be back in X days).
