I have been reading a lot about this style and I really like the theory of it. Unfortunately there is only one practitioner here in Ireland and they are too far away to visit weekly, I am wondering if you have tried it and how was it?

I think there's far more than one practioner in Ireland. My therapist is psychosis thesis based and he has many colleagues (particularly around Dublin) who practice the asme model

yowsa! reading about this psychosynthesis is very interesting and it sounds a LOT like my t actually. She doesn't have it listed as one of her modalities but it sure sounds a lot like her. Cool, I think I'll ask her about it.

Yes, it's very gentle and person centred and it is closely linked to jungian too. If I remember your t does sand tray? This fits in well with psychosynthesis as it explores all aspects if ourselves creatively, through dreams, art, writing and well anything goes

Well, the description you posted above sounds a lot like my therapy. We do dreamwork, share writing and songs, see the value of symbolism, and she's extremely gentle and adaptable and lets me lead. I love it. She creates a very safe, empowering space indeed.
