Just found out my T is going on maternity leave. For a while. Kind of freaking out.

If you have dealt with this, how did you do so?

Are you going to be seeing someone else in the meantime or just taking the time off altogether

I honestly don't know if I have the courage to see someone else for the time being. Trust and sense of safety issues

Yeah I know how you feel, that was one of the main reasons why I decided not to see anyone else at the practice which decided for me to stop seeing the Therapist who I was seeing, that and I was just tired of the place, it was a series of things that happened in that last week which crescendoed with that, so I decided just to leave altogether.

I took a break for the 6 months she was out. I should say that scheduling has been more difficult now that she's back because she only works about 1/4 of the time she was working before. You might want to ask if she plans to have an altered schedule when she comes back. Had I known that scheduling would be so difficult (and inflexible) I probably would have switched to a new T.
