Did your goals change or remain the same? My initial goal was to strengthen my friendships with women but it's widened to include men and women (both platonic and romantic,) managing negative self-talk, and being more comfortable being open and honest by asking for what I need and sharing how I really feel. He doesn't know it yet but I hope to add one more sexual health goal to my list (oh boy...)

I was super conscious about "adding" goals as my therapy progressed but he reminded me it happens all the time.

My goals have remained the same although I no longer believe the therapist could useful in me achieving them.

Mine have changed a lot, a few months ago my therapist pulled out my initial assessment and what goals I had, and we went over them and tried to work on coming up with some new ones.

I have added a lot of goals since my first assessment a few years ago. It don't think that is unusual. Many people probably start with a very specific issue and over time become aware of other issues they've had but weren't aware of, or just have new ones that arise.

I started in with the idea of doing grief work after a number of very close friends died around the same time. After day one it was clear we'd be dealing with an old, deep-seated depression, existential crisis, crippling anxiety, etc.

Within the greater framework of dealing with the depression, the micro-goals change from week to week as issues come up in the session, or as I'm dealing with things in my outer life. I like that there isn't a strict outline.

When I was in therapy was getting rid of "parent think." I've been pretty successful, to quite those negative messages and not let them rule me and responding like an impudent child. I control my choices.

My goals have remained the same. There are a few I have met, for the most part, and now just working toward maintaining the progress. There were, however, several new goals added throughout this past year...many of which I never thought of beforehand.
