Online Alexithymia Questionnaire

I came across this last night after reading a book discussing the term alexithymia - which is essentially emotional blindness, to your own feelings and that of others.

I scored high with a score of 128- this doesn't surprise me as I know I struggle greatly with knowing my own feelings and recognising them in others too.

Anyway worth a shot if you want to share your thoughts??
Thanks for this!

I got a somewhat high score too. The lowest score where I did not have any traits was around sex. The highest score showing traits was around difficulty describing and identifying feelings.

I got a 90, not alexiblahblah. But showing some traits in identifying feelings and problematic personal relationships. I definitely had to use my imagination and my longterm memory to answer the sex questions

I got 148. I had actually done this test last summer when I was deciding if I should do my assessment.

This was an interesting test.

If I took this test a decade or more ago, I think I would have scored much higher because of unconscious defense mechanisms.

I do have some odd physical sensations associated with emotional states, so that probably contributed to my score.

Interesting test but difficult to know how to answer. Several of the questions seemed to assume that you tell other people what you feel, or that they ask you to describe what you think about them or about things that happen, and that doesn't seem familiar to me. Anyway, I got 108, some traits. Scored high on identifying and describing feelings, externally-oriented thinking, and the sex thing, low on the other ones.
Thanks for this!

Why on earth would they even care what my blood type was. Kinda sounds like a little bit of junk science going on there.

Thanks for posting this. My result didn't surprise me at all but it was still an interesting experience taking it. Looks like a good tool.

I got a relatively low score - 66, non-alexithymia:detailed results showed no alexithymic traits in any area.
Thanks for this!
