When I first began therapy with t1 end of dec 2010 about 4 months into therapy, she had diagnosed me with mdd bpd gad and rule out anti social personality disorder, and she never gave me an explanation for that.
My pdoc waited 9 months to diagnose me with bipolar, as she was correct i had 2 manic episodes.

t2 as I was more open with her, I was diagnosed ptsd, which of course i know for a fact is true for years. I asked t1 and t2 why was aspd still on my treatment plan a year and 4 months later, can she please take it out of my treatment plan, because imo thats alot of time, to figure out if one is aspd or not. t2 said, we will talk about it, nothing ever happened.

I spoke to pdoc, she says, well i did not diagnose you with that, so you have to speak to your current t.

t3 told t3 can you please remove aspd out of my treatment plan or my file, her answer, we will talk about it, except i know we will because this t keeps her word.

The label does not bother me, the more I know of myself the better, what bothers me is the pending state of the diagnosis, t1 should have done something with that before she left, being that she diagnosed it.
How would you feel.

The diagnoses are for them, so they can come up with plans how/in what order they may want to treat you. It sounds like it was a previous t's thing so I wouldn't pay it any mind at all, we change and get new diagnoses, etc. as we go along, depending on who we are seeing -- for example, you hadn't had your manic episodes yet when t1 knew you, had you? She probably couldn't do bipolar at the time. It is just old stuff they thought you were at that time but now sounds like you are doing well with what your current ts and pdoc have diagnosed you with?

Pretty much all practitioners hate the DSM. It's just there for legal and insurance reasons. You are sweepy62. That's all that matters.

Yes I did , she told me she would talk to her supervisor since she did not diagnose it. Also told me that she will get to know me better and make her own decision . Thank you for asking.
