Everything has gone down hill real fast and I will be heading in to the hospital soon. I've never been hospitalized before (pysch that is) so it's all pretty scary. Do not know what to expect other than things I've read. Everything just got away from me so I'm no longer fighting it anymore and going to follow medical advice. Oh boy

Give yourself a pat on the back for seeking help and try to use the time to chill.....there migut be deep and meaningfuls but you will be well fed, checked on, visited, helped to sleep (hopefully you not next to someone who snores)...I hate hospital but mainly because it feels like I have surrendered the last bit of life I had control of. use that "lack of control" if you can, to mentally take a break from what you would otherwise have to do.

Above all else....know that others care about you and want to see you succeed All gone down hill

Hugs for you. I've been hospitalized 4 times in my life, only one was not voluntary. I did need the break from the stressors of my life, and made the most of my time there. Quality care depended on what the psychiatrist was like, mainly. Only one was a real stinker.

It was a place for me to feel safe, from my own thoughts of self-harm. Hope you have a positive experience.
