Tomorrow I am seeing a real therapist for the first time. I'm unbelievably nervous. I have no idea how this is going to proceed and what's going to happen. Can anyone help me kind of get an idea for what to expect?
Thank you all so much.. |

The first appointment for the ones I see was basically them just asking me why I was seeing a therapist.

The therapist may give you some paperwork to fill out to find out a little background infomation on why you are there. Then he/she may have some questions regarding your questionaire.
Some therapist just start by asking you what brought you in seeking therapy. Each one is different. I've been to several and it's usually one way or the other. And it is usually a very relaxed setting. Hope some of this helps.
