I would not find the floor comfortable and I doubt the woman could get up from it if she could get down on it in the first place.

A decent-looking couch that squeaks when I move I've always wished we could sit on the floor or take a walk....

T shares her office and has two rooms a big one and a smaller one. Group, wednesday morning and Friday sessions are usually in the big one. It has a table with four chairs near the large window, a coffee table with two comfy black armchairs on the left side and two of the same armchairs but in red on the right side. During group if noone steals my spot I'm in the black armchair near the wall, in individual sessions I'm in the second black armchair while T is in the red one closest to me.

The smaller office also has a table with chairs around it, and a coffee table with 3 smaller armchairs around it. I hate them as I feel like they're too small for me and not as comfy. In that room T sits either opposite to me or on the armchair on my right. Never on my left as she is deaf in her right ear...

My T used to have a smallish black chair with a short back which I loved. It was reasonably firm but comfortable and I felt that it "contained" (i can't think of a better word atm) me as I am only 5'1" but now he has these big recliners as some of the therapy he uses the client has to be reclined (i don't know why) These recliners are very soft and don't feel comfortable. I am thinking of asking him if I can sit the black chair again but it has been moved out his room into the entrance room near his door. I feel like it would be a pain to ask him to bring it into the room again just for 50 mins every 2 weeks, but the new chairs just make me feel uncomfortable. I thought I would give them a go but its been 4 or 5 months now and I still hate these chairs.

The 2 chairs are opposite T I sit in the one closest to the door which happens to be directly opposite to T. I would sit the other one but it is near a window and I would have to walk past T to leave. I don'tt know why that bothers me.
Thanks for this!

For me, it has always been chairs, regardless of T. Except for massage therapy!

my current T has a loveseat, a chair, and her office chair. I always sit smack in the middle of the loveseat. I had tried sitting on one or the other cushion, but apparently no one sits on the cushions themselves, so they both slope into the middle crease (where everyone seems to sit). when I tried one of the sides, I kept slipping into the center, so I eventually gave up. She sits in her rolling desk chair. If we go into the art/play room, we sit at the "kids" table because the only "adult" sized furniture is a tiny desk pushed against the wall and always piled high with stuff. I tried an adult chair at the kids-height table and kept smashing my knees every few seconds.

Couple's T didn't have an office of her own, so we would meet in the conference room or the group room. The comference room had comfier chairs. A few times both of those rooms were taken and we had to use one of the "therapy rooms" which I am convinced were storage closets in their former lives. None of them were bigger than 5'x5', but most were 4'x4'. When all three of us sat in one of those rooms, I always ended up nearly on top of my wife, and T's knees were touching ours. It was quite uncomfortable. Ironically enough, it was an LGBT Serivces center. We joked that we were supposed to be comming out of the closet, not going back into them for therapy.

Same here, except I don't really lie (though I have occasionally rested my head on the arm of the couch). Regardless, i'm always curled up with 'my' pillow wherever I need it in the moment.

Couch. I sit on the couch. By the window. Kitty corner from the door.

There are chairs too, but they're on the same wall as the door. Can't have your back to the door. Have to be prepared for Ninja attacks.

Cowboys may shoot from the door, but Ninjas never do. They come down the chimney or up the drain or get to the room before you do and hide in the refrigerator.

I usually sat on the couch with my Therapist, but I was known to bounce around when I was feeling like a bad child or ornery teenager. She would always say, "Come back here." Sometimes as much as twenty times a session. I was not easy!

A wicker chair with cushions on. Or, I can lie on her couch.

I feel like if a T had multiple options for sitting in her room, after I got more comfortable with her, I would sit in every location and possibly impulsively switch locations during the session.

My past T's have always just had a chair.

Usually a comfy couch or chair and half of the time I lay down and don't hesitate to make myself at home.

My second T's office has leather chairs and a leather couch. I'm not a big fan of leather furniture because it is sticky and sweaty.

A chair. One that I sink into. Their is a cushion on it I always have to move as it gets in the way. The chair itself is nice enough. I would rather though that I would not sink into it so much.
I am thinking as I write this... is the cushion their to represent something!

I find it actually interesting not necessarily what I sit but where I sit as I have quite big choice... I've just made a plan (I know I should come back to work)

My T works in a doctor surgery so had the regular Dr desk chair and two other chairs with a examine table that she puts all her leaflets and stuff on.

I always sit in the chair further away from the T. And I have my bag on me for comfort and also so I can make a quick get away
