Does anyone know where I could take an online version of the MMPI test?

It cannot be found online. You might find some shortened, older version of it, but it wouldn't be particularly valid. MMPI protocols are given by people trained to give and interpret the results, which, if you are interested in taking, is how I'd suggest you do so.

Normally, diagnostic material like that isn't available online. It's supposed to make sure people don't skew the results when they come in for actual psych evaluations. Could you find a PsyD or a Pdoc to evaluate you?

I'm really just curious - but not curious enough to pay to have it done

Not that. You won't be able to find it. I almost 100% guarantee it.

i took the MMPI twice because the first time i took it (this was when i was a teenager) about halfway thru it i just started filling in random answers because its 500 questions and really boring. but i was at a treatment facility and they made me take it again because the test can detect if u are lying or just answering randomly.

I used the library and got a hard copy along with the how to read it sorts of materials.
I find it quite patronizing for them to try to keep information out of reach.
