...until my T appointment. I am very anxious. We will be talking about some very difficult and intimidating things, and I don't know how I will be able to handle it. I am finding that this trauma therapy stuff is harder the deeper you go. And I definitely feel pretty deep in it.

Did you want to borrow my hip waders? Pretend you're "noodling"?

Aside from the anxiety, I think you're doing great. Think about it-if you weren't brave and working hard, you'd avoid and wouldn't have a chance of being anxious in the first place.

Come and talk to us about it when you get back.
Thanks for this!

"Noodling" is where you dive underwater to catch catfish in their nests. Saw that on "River Monsters".

It wasn't as hard as I imagined it would be. Instead of dealing head on with what I thought we were going to deal with, my T gave me some more coping skills and we talked about a few that she really wants me to practice a lot. And we talked about how often I dissociate and what I feel like when I do. So it wasn't that difficult of a session.

And she shared a story about her own therapy and how scared she was at certain parts, and how she really understands the fear I feel a lot of the time. It's really helpful to know that she really gets it and has been there before.
