One of the things T and I were talking about in session today was the idea that my H needs a book, or guidance, or a plan to deal with me and my Borderline personality disorder. Or the idea that essentially need a team to deal with me (T, H, MC, myself), etc..

Then T said this. Healed, the very core of you is broken. Its not broken because of anything you did, it's not your fault, you are not to blame. It's the fault of the people who abused you, who didn't treat you right. I'm not blaming you for causing problems. I simply want to help heal your core.

Part of my broken core is having bpd, as well as dealing with ptsd. The BPD in particular gets a bad wrap.. Stuff like we are manipulative, vindictive, blah blah blah.. BUT what I forget is just what T said.. as much as I hate to admit it, I am broken in a way, and I need help get all back together. It doesn't matter the mode of therapy- whether it be dbt, cbt, Schema Therapy.. It's about getting better. And having a good T on my side, not blaming me, not putting extra precautions walls or boundaries up because I am bpd.. Its working extra hard because I do have BPD and need help with it.

Just a not so well formed thought I wanted to share with all of you!

can I borrow your T? Sounds wonderful... I've had a few T's acknowledge the brokenness, but lately I feel like anyone I meet has bigger walls than I do o_O
Seriously though, that's a pretty awesome T. And glad you have all that support around you as well.

Your t is very insightful. My t says I work hard to manage my bpd . She does say I shift somewhat in my moods.

I hate it when I get described as manipulative and vindictive .
