Other people on here reading this (and people who post) have the same T as you? It can be hard to tell, cause some of us don't disclose any revealing information about our T or sessions. I know it's supposed to be anonymous, but that's what gets to me. Someone from my town could be reading this, completely unrelated to me, and be having a similar issue with the same T.
Lol or maybe I am just being weird? I dunno! It's a possibility. :P "She had blue skin, and so did he. He kept it hid, and so did she. They searched for blue, their whole life through, then passed right by- and never knew." |

Not on here ... but on another site I met someone who was complaining about their T and it turned out it was my ex-T so it can happen and I do wonder about it sometimes

I was wondering today when I was in the waiting room... guy came out before me, T took a quick break... but there was another T who came in to an adjacent office, and then a woman who came to see that T and just walked in.... can't help but wonder if our paths are crossing in cyberspace.
Maybe there's a film idea in there somewhere! ![]() |

I wonder, yes. It doesn't seem that anyone does, though. Whenever I run across someone whose T is similar, they're always way far away, like across the USA from me.

The chances are so slim!! But, I do worry my T will read and know it is me Fortunately, I do not think he likes to explore on the computer, so I think im pretty safe.

No, but I don't think it would bother me. What difference would it make?

I have wondered about it, and wondered how much detail I should disclose.
Main T's office is very distinctive, rather, has distinctive **** all over the place. No one here seems to be in the city I live in , where CBT T is. I think it would be fun to trade notes. Then again, I could get jealous. |

I've never wondered that, no. Occasionally I wonder if my T knows I'm here and secretly reads my threads but it's nothing he doesn't know anyway.

No, because I am so incredibly fascinating that my T doesn't need any clients but me!
![]() Seriously though I have on occasion read someone's post and thought man that sounds a lot like something MY t would say! |

I don't worry about that. My T is mostly a short-term T and usually sees a specific type of client. I was just stubborn and refused to accept the expected limits. 40 sessions later...yeah, I broke that norm.

It scares me cause my T sometimes says things that are almost word for word like I've said in here. And then I wonder, "is he reading this???" I almost wish he would. I realize if you look up "romantic feelings for your therapist" on google, the second result that comes up is the romantic feelings board here. It's a possibility! Lol. ![]() "She had blue skin, and so did he. He kept it hid, and so did she. They searched for blue, their whole life through, then passed right by- and never knew." |

How did you figure out it was about your ex t? "She had blue skin, and so did he. He kept it hid, and so did she. They searched for blue, their whole life through, then passed right by- and never knew." |

I would get jealous too. Hearing good or bad things would bother me, cause I would start comparing it to how he treats me, and how he treats them. "She had blue skin, and so did he. Trading notes would go horribly for me. I'd get intensely jealous if they said she did anything caring to them and I'd get very defensive and upset if they said anything bad unless it was in a clearly playful way. |

It's a possibility. But I wouldn't want to know.

Anything is possible but I wouldn't want to know. I've been bitten in the past because someone IRL figured out we had the same T and pestered the crap outta me. They were obsessed with whether T liked me better or who T had helped more etc..

No, never worry about it. If it were so, that would be fine. I mean, I'm not his only client, and I'm quite used to him working with people I know.

The google search algorithm brings that up for YOU ( and perhaps for many of us) because that is in our history with google. Its a relatively new (maybe 3 years) complaint about google, that they use our history instead of doing a fresh scan of the universe.

my understanding is that you can by-pass that by using an incognito window? because it doesn't have you signed in.

I wouldn't say paranoid. Would say, highly amused, when there's coincidences in word play...

No worries here. Sometimes I think I'm the only Canadian on PC and I didn't put my city just in case someone figures out who I am.
I would get jealous too. He mentioned a small thing about his client before me once and I had a bit of jealousy with that. I think the best way to deal with this is thinking he is a parent and there are other siblings and he treats all of us with the same amount of attention but sees us as unique individuals. This sort of keeps the green monster away. But I'm probably his favourite ![]()

I don't know any phrases she uses that would be unique and therefore identifiable. She did once say she was not the enemy, but I don't know that she says that to all clients. I am not certain the sentiment is true. But instead of that woman, I could start calling her Switzerland the neutral.
In real life I knew someone who also saw the first one I see. Our experiences and descriptions of interacting with the woman were very different and I doubt anyone would have believed we were talking about the same therapist even after telling them.
