Tomorrow is my first appt with someone in the mental health field for meds since pdoc and I split in October last year. She's actually a nurse practitioner. My best friend recommended her and t wanted me to find someone. So I thought I'd give her a shot.

I'm incredibly anxious/nervous about it. Not sure why. I have to be there about 15-20 minutes early for paperwork. Then it's a 40-45 minute session. Ugh!

I hate when I get all nervous/anxious like this the night before. It keeps me up later than I intended to be up. Oh well. I'll get through it.

After what you went through with pdoc, no wonder you are nervous!! It is easy to get attached to caregivers. I hope it goes well for you.

NP's have always struck me as more useful than many of the doctors I've had.

I'm glad you have the appointment ... I was thinking the same as growlycat about your past experiences with pdoc and really hoping it all goes well for you Melissa

Session w/ NP for meds went quite well. She's being cautious with my history. That's to be expected. I see her again in a month.
Thanks for this!

My therapist in high-school was a NP. I wish I could still see her. She seemed very knowledgeable. I had a psychiatrist at the time which was not very good and she was very helpful in dealing with him, and even took my blood pressure once.
