I don't think there is such a thing. There are very wealthy people, who's money is no object and even they don't make it.

HMM...my coworkers and I have discussed this in the past some of our things (in no particular order of priority)...

~State of the art diagnostic systems that would allow us to figure out what people are suffering from whether it be true depressions or situational, psychosis, etc etc.

~an inpatient and outpatient program that works extremely well together so there is no stigma to needing to go to inpatient.

~fully funded so that staff can be paid extremely well so won't leave looking for better pay..also have retreats and education as well as other services to keep staff up-to-date and knowledgeable.

~Also fully funded so that patients don't have to worry about how they will pay for whatever they need.

~Offer all patients/clients classes in such things as the importance of medication compliance, nutrition, communication, self esteem, budgeting, etc.

~around the clock access to psych doctors and therapists.

Great lists!! For me, it boils down to true care and compassion….not hours of boredom and loneliness and hostile staff. I love the idea of other classes, whether health related or art etc.

Notrustin I really like the idea of a seamless transition back into the community. That care would not just come to a screeching halt.

As for outpatient stuff, I know what I want is just blatantly unrealistic unless therapists become robots lol. I would like 24/7 access to not just any therapist but my therapist. I don't want to talk to him all day or anything. I just want the ability to schedule my 50 minutes a week when I need them. Most of the time, when I had an appointment was not when I had something pressing on my mind I needed to bring up.

I guess all my wishes are already mentioned above, I like an idea about the "camp" with many Ts some hiking, sport and other nice and safe activities...

Coming back to the session, I guess 2-3 times per week for 90min + getting long responses to my e-mails or texting when needed Or: 1 x 90min + 1-2 additional shorter sessions whenever I need them - that also would be cool but I could get addicted and need them more and more often... More realistic version would be 1x90min (as it is now) + responses to e-mails or texting - still not very realistic though...

My ideal treatment would be a therapist who doesn't watch the clock like a hawk and end things at exactly 50 minutes, no matter what is going on. 60-75 minutes would be much better for me. I'd also like him to predictably answer my emails and for me not to feel like I'm a burden for writing them when he doesn't respond.

Mine could never exist but here goes. I wish they could do therapy surgery. Just open up the old skull, take out the bad parts, tune you up and you'd be on your way good as new.

Why oh why can't brains be fixed like cars?

I would like daily visits from a home health aid to catch when I'm slipping in my funcuality and get more support while recovering from slips. Access to a cheap maid service when unwell. Access to a therapist once a week when well and 3x a week when unwell. A psychiatrist 1x a month if well, weekly if unwell. i would like each of my family to have access to the same frequency of seeing their psychiatrist and therapist. A in home family therapist that visits 2x a month. I would like all of our drs, therapists, and aid to work together.
Monthly news letters of all the local events and possibly discount tickets to events.

This way I

Unce upon a time they actually believed this is possible. Unfortunately for the patients at the time it really did not work out well.

A therapists that does not read from a script or act just like they were thought in college.
Some blunt honesty and trust in short.
O yes and they [T's] must deal with their paranoia about clients trying to set traps for them.

I frequently tell T I wish there were a reset button that would keep all happy memories and get rid of anything horrible.

Oh, did you ever see the 4400? tv show? people with powers. one woman had the power to create alternate realities that SEEMED real. in the space of a few moments-seconds, minutes- she could take you to another reality where you could live a whole lifetime, have the memories- but in the real world it was just a few minutes.

imagine all the healing that could take place in such a therapy session? takes "reparenting" to a whole new level, take years in the VR to work out traumas, wake up completely healed from a single session.

lol if we could do magic, or had the technology that would be my ideal.

in the real world, I'd want T to love me and be my friend and hold me and want to to talk to me just cuz.

like we used to do before the rupture.

I would just like to know that the therapist- or society in general that indirectly kind of pays for the therapy- considered it worth it and fair for me to have the support even though I'm fairly functional.

I would love it if my sessions took place in a quiet coffee shop rather than the ACT office which is noisy. Having tea with my therapist would be awesome but she would never go for it. Having some home support would be nice.
