I don't really like to shower (it takes a lot of effort since I am so depressed), which is weird since I love water, mostly the ocean...but I make sure that I do it everyday and I always feel better afterwards. My sensitive/dry skin necessitates that I do so, anyway, or else I get all itchy. Yuck.
I clean everything else up first though (major OCD cleaning issue, which overrides the depression), so I shower later in the day once I am done cleaning. I absolutely must shave my legs everyday because I hate the feeling of prickly little hairs on my legs.
I also get a lot of good thinking done in the shower, so that's a plus.

Sometimes I like showering, sometimes I don't if I'm very tired or feeling sick.
I don't have a problem with it though, I don't dislike it overall. It's just something I need to do.

It's an effort for me and depending how I'm feeling about myself, I may avoid it for a few days because it feels like a Herculean effort. I don't shower because I hate being cold. The hardest part for me is doing my hair afterwards. Sometimes baths can be soothing.
Thanks for this!

I hate it. I ticked the 'i have a history of SA' box as it does trigger me seeing my naked body. But:

TRIGGER WARNING (for CSA survivors)

I get a lot more triggered when I shave down there because it looks like a child's v a g i n a - like mine used to look when he was abusing me. So that really really freaks me out. And I'm trying not to shave down there.

I used to take a shower everyday. My mother made us so the habit remained until I developed psychosis in my mid twenties. The illness made me lazy. Going 8 or 9 days without washing was normal during that time. Once I recovered my motivation never fully returned. Now I try to take a shower or bath at least 3 or 4 times a week.

Showering used to be one of my favorite things in the world. These days I find it harder and harder to get myself into the shower. There's no real particular reason I suppose, I simply cannot find the motivation to do so. I do it daily, but it's always an incredible struggle internally to make myself do it. I don't know why.

EDIT: As a matter of fact, it is 6:30PM where I am and I still have not done so. I went and got clean clothes and a clean towel so that I could shower over six hours ago now, and I've still not done it. I'm actually on here wasting time, further procrastinating taking a shower.
