Have you told a therapist you love them?

No, but I told him indirectly I was in love with him...but in a text msg.
I told him many times how much I like him.

If yes, how long had you been in therapy before you said it? How often?

I'll answer this one anyway...A few months; once a week.

What is your attachment style if you know?

Preoccupied/anxious.

How did your T react?

He said thank you.

Do you regret it?

No, I've never regretted anything I've ever told him.

Although there are many things I love about him, I don't love him in a mature sense; it's adoration. I just adore him. It started with idealization, which I think is the same thing as being 'in love' anyway and similar to how little children 'fall in love' with (idealize) a parent.

I was the same way with my last therapist, but it evolved into a more mature kind of love after time. We still keep in touch, I still adore him to this day.

btw, Here's an interesting perspective on love:

The psychology of sexuality and love : Lacan; Courtly Love; true love and fear of love; sexual addictions; abusive lovers; victimless sex; sexual orientation

I love stopdog because if I don't laugh or shake my head at least once a day my day is NOT complete

I am not unappreciative of the sentiment, but let us not go overboard or into overstatement. I believe you all don't not like me within reason.

Nope, never told her, I've grown fond of her though. But I think I'm not going to tell her in a near future anyway, it would still sound awkward. I'm not good at expressing feelings.
