I've been thinking, although , t said my schedule would hopefully return to normal within 1 month an a half of being seen weekly, since the new t just got hired last week, and they are still figuring out caseloads.

Here's the thing, I know she didn't put all her clients on every 2 weeks. I'm thinking she probably switched me to every 2 weeks because of my insurance , maybe her weekly clients have better insurance .

She also said a couple of weeks ago not to worry because she would see me 3 times a month. That never happened.

I told her I feel insecure about the schedule .

Yeah, I would say you don't have any clue what any of her other clients did.

Or she trusts you more to be willing to reach out to her if you need her or she trusts you can keep yourself safe between sessions?

Miguelsmom: I very overwhelmed and she knows it, but she tells me to call her. I haven't had negative thoughts to hurt myself yet so I'm ok there. I'm just insecure, irrational I guess.

I have a lot of trust issues and get how you feel. Do you think your T would lie to you? Maybe the next time you have a session bring it up and talk about it. Watch her reactions and listen closely to try to figure it out.

Spidey sense is not a reliable form of information gathering. You know that

Your T is a good T. What I see (and this is normal), is you looking for ways all the time to distrust her. I understand why, but you have to know that whenever you do that, it has never struck me as an accurate way to view the situation.

What do you mean? How sure are you about it - do you have anything to go on, or are you purely speculating?

Schedules can be a nightmare.

Maybe she thinks you'll be okay with fortnightly sessions, newer clients need weekly, or she's leaving space for new people.

I dont want to think that she lied to me, so far she has been a good t, but I do have trust issues. I dont know how to bring this up, she has reasurred me that I will have my schedule back eventually. I just dont know why during the most stressful period of my life , it was changed.

Yeah, I agree, it has kinda failed me in the past. I just find her so annoying right now , and she catches when I am sarcastic, and she gives me that t look. Its like she is pushing my buttons, to get me to say something.

I asked the receptionist, because we have a great relationship, I didnt ask who she was seeing or anything to cross boundaries, I said, i was upset because of my schedule, and she said , a couple of clients were in the same boat as me. I asked if everyone was on a 2 or 3 week schedule, she said, no, some are still being seen weekly, she said not many just a few.

I'm sure all the others are sad too having their schedules messed up and having to see someone new. It's just bad timing.

I know all of this is so hard for you sweepy. is it the not seeing your t every week, or the choice to not see you and keep seeing other clients weekly ? I may be wrong but it seems to bother you big time . that you didn't feel as important . I would have a nagging horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach over that also. I hope you will be able to talk to her about this. im sorry that the receptionist gave you that information. it seemed to do nothing but cause you doubt and pain.

I would think/hope a T would choose who to see weekly depending on the clients' needs not on the money they pay...but maybe that's too idealistic

Maybe the ones in crisis? My T said that the first few appointments she had with me, she was incredibly concerned that I was so depressed that I might not make it to my next appointment. So maybe people who are in that type of state? Or maybe DID people, who literally cannot handle an upset?

Granite: yeah I do feel rejected, I guess I have so much unprocessed crap, lack of sleep, changes and so on.

It's difficult to get back in the routine of things, when there was a long break between us. I'm not in crisis mode, but I do feel overwhelmed and down, although I switch moods alot during the day. I must be a chameleon or something .

What do you mean?

If I remember, you had a really hard time being able to tell her how much pain you were in and what exactly you were going through. Is it possible that she didn't pick up on some of it and didn't realize how bad things were?

Yeah, I told her, how the schedule affected me, she knows about the recent stressors. The thing is she is trying for me to be honest about my feelings and emotions, to be vulnerable . She is not even going near trauma talk for now , she hasent , I hope she won't till I get my weekly schedule back.

I haven't lied about the way I feel, but I leave things out. She told me to buy a seperate journal where I can write them down.

The problem is I have to read them that was our agreement with t2 and continued with t3. With t1 all we used to do was , I use to write stuff and give it to t1 and she would read it, if I want to process it , it was up to me.

T2 and t3 agreed it was not healthy therapy. So I kinda learned how to start talking in therapy a year ago lol .

Can you call your T/ request a callback/ even leave a voicemail to say that you are struggling with the two week wait in between sessions, and what is the criteria needed to get seen more frequently, as you feel you might not have conveyed how rough a time you're having.

I was being seen weekly, I have been with this t for about 5 and a half months, she agrees I need to be seen weekly. We were working on trauma, and other stressors. As soon as another therapist left the office, all the therapists working there, got the caseload of the therapist that left, besides that, they had gotten, my previous therapist caseload that left 5 and a half months ago also. Thats when therapists began getting clients from the therapist that left. My scheduled changed , why , I have no idea, I mean, why couldnt it be that the other clients being transfered to her change, and not the ones who were seeing her already change. I guess I am being selfish here.

Well, if you think about it, they are going through what you went through 5 months ago.
