So I started seeing a new T ( a pdoc)
He said he would take me in as a client, see how I am doing and give me supportive sessions ( I donīt want anymore deep, longterm therapy or meds at this point) Iīve had a pretty bad therapy experience. He sad the goal was " autonomous blooming". How would you interpret that?

Autonomous = by yourself
Blooming = growth, blossoming, etc...

I think my psychiatrist is doing "autonomous blooming" with me. She guides me without telling me what to do. She lets me figure things out by asking questions and giving feedback such as a list of possibilities. From there I think about what we have discussed and even write about it. All the introspection eventually leads me to learn more about myself which results in growth.

I really like the sound of autonomous blooming.
Could another interpretation be it is the place you reach when you have internalized your therapist successfully? So when a challenge arises, that previously you would have needed support for, but now want to have a shot at handling yourself - you draw on your internalization - and boom, you grow from navigating the challenge successfully and independently.
