If she were your mum you would want another mum. It's illusion she would be perfect mum, no one's perfect in real life.
Thanks for this!

My adult self know that and can be rational about it. However my child self is having a hard time catching on. She is in full paddy mode. And she has taken over at present...

Ah, god, the stories I've heard and read about how screwed up and resentful the children of therapists can be! They're only human after all, the kids and the Ts. Lunatic Soul is so right about the illusion. But that doesn't help much because you already know all that.

((((RainyDaiz)))) I'm sending you hugs because sometimes that's what we need, people who will accept us unconditionally, even if the child is stamping its feet and carrying on in full angry and wild mode. So here you go.
Thanks for this!

I can relate. I have a foot-stomping bratty teenager inside that shows herself every now and then with t. She's gotten so good at recognizing her, she picks up on it before I do now. And I don't even see her in person anymore, we just talk on the phone, and she'll say "I am picturing you stomping your feet right about now" before I even do!!!
Thanks for this!

Thank you so much I appreciate that. My t tells me one of her twin sons is screwed up and that she'd let me down as a mum. I know she's not perfect but my little one doesn't want to believe it. Thanks again
