I was doing my budget and checked in on the claims my therapist had put in on my insurance. But I didn't see any. There weren't any claims since July! I pay her once a month to go towards what I owe her, but I wonder if she stopped charging me? Maybe I owe a lot more than I thought? It has been a while sicne I received a bill... I kinda feel weird about it. I guess I'll ask her about it next time I see her, but I'd feel bad if I wasn't paying her anymore....has anyone else experienced this kind of thing? Maybe it's just a billing error?

It may be a billing error, or she may be taking time getting around to submitting claims?
I'm guessing she hasn't said anything to you about it at all. Did you guys have an alternate payment arrangement? I have one with former T, but she still sends me bills updating after every monthly payment... Definitely ask T about it. |

This is exactly the kind of reason why I prefer dealing with cash. I've never experienced this because my psychotherapy isn't covered by insurance but I pay my therapist in cash at the end of each session and that goes well. I pay my supervisor by bank transfer and I hate not being able to really know when she gets it. In my experience, if something about payment doesn't seem right, it's better to ask about it, either your therapist or your insurance agency. Hope there's no problem.
