In 11yrs I've never laid down on T's couch. Always sitting tight up against the corner furthest away from T.

Today there was a knock at T's door. I said, please feel free to answer it.

When T returned, I said "you missed it, I just lied down'.

T laughed saying, dam! Missed it.
Thanks for this!

That's funny. I've never laid down on my T's couch either. I think I would feel too vulnerable.

Sounds like you felt safe enough while her back was turned. Guess that's a good thing?

I've never laid down on a t's couch, though once I was really tired during session and wanted to curl up on it to feel safe... never told her though.

I've thought about laying down actually but haven't felt that secure yet to do it on my own for a normal session. I have laid down twice when I was in a meltdown and needed calming. It was nice laid down with several blankets and it was so comforting.

I have never laid down on Ts couch but I think about it.

I fantasize about curling up on Ts couch with a comfy blanket...and feeling safe.

I just can't imagine trying to talk while lying down. I would fall asleep.
Thanks for this!
