Too bad I can't kick people through the internet. Some days I really want to.

I have had a headache for 3 days that I cannot get rid of. How many ibuprofen before I destroy my liver completely? Or is it tylenol that destroys livers and ibuprofen goes after a different organ?

Paracetamol destroys the liver, so if that is the substance in Tylenol, then yes. Ibuprofen does not attack the liver in the same way.

I think I will watch some G&S today. Perhaps the Mikado, but probably something I don't already know by heart.

The town I grew up in had a very active G&S society which had the local Gynae and his brother the local Pathologist and they indulged in their hobby of dressing up as women.

I know several C words but none of them fits. Choke? Convulse? Collapse?

So how obnoxious is it to correct somebody who uses the completely wrong term for something non-therapy related in a different thread? (Similar to saying that Ireland is in the UK, or that spinach is a kind of meat.) It's pretty obnoxious, right?
Thanks for this!

Was it an auto-correct mistake, those I would point out and groan about the stupid words my phone "thinks" I want to say when I know damn good and well what I typed!!

If it wasn't auto-correct (my phone subbed in "colorectal" just then!!!!!!!) then a little re-education might be in order, my friend.
Thanks for this!

Tylenol destroys livers. Ibuprofen destroys stomach linings. Paracetamol is hardcore in its liver-destroying capabilities. You can't get it otc in the US.

I was playing.

I did have a friend who damaged her liver after over-using tylenol.

Sometimes you are such a MAN!!! Even i figured this one out. Seriously, i have the same issue. It happens when it happens. Like when my dad was dying, there were certain times it happened But most of the time, i was just aware of being super-alert.

I'm pretty much the same. It's rare. It never occurs in the presence of others. Most situations where that could occur, I end up dissociated. Nothing happens then.

I've been given 800mg of ibuprofen (4 200-tabs if you have 'em). I was just told to be really strict about six hours in between and only to do it short term.

Interesting that they don't sell paracetamol over the counter in the US - we tend to have stricter rules about medications and prescriptions, but paracetamol is definitely otc here.

I once had a nurse (possible addict) at an urgent care center tell me to take double the prescription dose of the pain med with ibuprofen in it - and to definitely get the prescription one because it was better than the over the counter even if OTC said it was the same strength.
