I'd never thought about this before. But T said that she admires how I managed to keep so much of my self after all I'd been through, through birth onwards.
I'd not really been able to pin anything on to myself until she said that. Once she did it was like a switch went on. I could feel myself, saw it how she saw it. How much I could quiet easily been washed away. I wasn't. It's been hard to find myself because if having to defend myself so much. But yes, I am still there. No one managed to take that away. |

That is so beautiful, thank you for sharing. Therapy has helped me appreciate the perseverance of the human spirit so much more. So many of us have been through all kind of terrible experiences but we hold out hope and hold on to little saved bits of ourselves during this journey.
