Are you all right, granite? It's not true, what you wrote. So many of us have good Ts. It seems like a lot of bad Ts are out there, but there are many people who don't post on this forum who have good Ts. We aren't all doomed. I'm sure this forum will change again. I've been around, as you have, a long time, and there have been times when it's much more positive.

I have a genuine T. She makes some mistakes, but I don't feel like I am doomed.

Are you upset about your session? You have a good T! It will be all right. Or is something else wrong?
Thanks for this!

What?

What would the world being doomed have to do with therapists? They are not that powerful.

If you are having a beneficial therapist/ therapy experience - then good.
No one can take that away from you - certainly not anonymous posters on an internet site.

I agree with stopdog. Did something happen that prompted you to feel this way?

Is this post because a lot of people have been struggling with their therapists lately? (Sorry if I'm being totally dense, just not altogether sure what that has to do with the OP....)

Granite, I hope you are ok too. I am on the clueless list here, not sure if something happened?

There are good T's, and there are bad ones and mediocre ones too.

Well, I wouldn't go as far to say it's awesome, but I do think the world sucks. Also, I've got a great therapist, so I hope I did not use up the only supply of good ones.

Sure hope this was a post made from a bad place and today is better! (not that I'd be glad you were in a bad place). I have to admit that I don't think that people who post about having difficulties with their therapist or the therapeutic process makes the world doomed or the board a bad place. Sure some go to therapy and draw the lousy card and have a hard time navigating the relationship, but that doesn't diminish anyone else's experience that is currently positive or working well.

I've read many of your posts over the years, and watched with amazement and a smile as people jumped on to support and encourage you in your journey. Everyone deserves a place to post about what pains them and get support and encouragement. Yes, it can get discouraging to read difficult posts or venting posts, especially when it's about therapists who are being abusive or unethical, but when that happens and I'm not handling it, I step away from the computer and shut it down. Self-care is critical for all of us. The great thing about PC is we all aren't at the same emotional place at the same time. Others are always able to jump in and provide what's needed. Everyone isn't in the same emotional place at the same time.

I hope it's a new and better day today.
Thanks for this!
