I just saw T Monday, and I am not pleased at all. I hadn't seen her in awhile b/c she was on a cruise with her husband, which is fine. There was also a week I had to miss b/c there were no available appointments. Fine. (There's a long story behind this, but I'm having a really hard time getting a new pdoc. T was supposed to make a few phone calls.) I went in, and it was like she had completely forgotten about the situation. I had even given a reminder phone call about said situation. Plus, the session was pointless. I told her that my hallucinations came back, and one of the voices was saying sexually explicit things, and she said that she was glad that voice went away. The reason she claimed she was happy was supposedly due to the fact the voice sounded like a perv. Does she not understand the words that are coming out of my mouth, or am I missing something. Maybe I should just quit and become a hermit.

Sorry you're having such a hard time and you don't feel your t is hearing you.

How long have you been seeing your t for?

My t has forgotten, or not followed up on, things sometimes too. But she is generally a great t and is mostly attuned to me. On the rare occasion she has not followed up on something, I have felt some negative feelings but also view it in relation to all she has done and her job limitations.

Is this sort of behaviour a continuing problem or an occasional mishap and misunderstanding?

I've seen her for about a year and a half. She's an okay t I guess, but this is a big deal for me. Because, I literally cannot make these phone calls for myself. (Not an anxiety. All of the pdocs in my area do not want to make an app with me. So, I have to have her try and find out some type of solution.) I wouldn't be as upset if it wasn't for the fact that I called to remind her in the first place. Plus, this isn't the first time I've gotten the why haven't I seen you in awhile speech. I'm starting to develop another psychotic episode, and the only thing she seemed to be able to think to say was that she was glad one of the voices left b/c it sounded like a perv? How is that helpful?
