IRL I just wonder if this is how you want to end things with this T? Is this a test to see if she cares? What if she does and she goes out of her way for you? Will you stay?

I think it's disrespectful not to cancel if you're not planning on going. If you have a reason you want to be disrespectful, I'd say go ahead. But be aware of what you're doing.

Well actually it's more than one appointment. You mentioned in another post that you had 2 appointments left. Are you planning to no-show for the final two appointments or are you planning to go to the last one to get her reaction to your skipped appointment? Look, IRL, I get it that you're angry at her. You have a right to be angry with her. She's demonstrated the worst care possible for someone with BPD. I'm sure she makes other therapist's cringe if they heard her botched attempt to help you. And yes, she's playing games by charging for emails when she's not suppose to or when she sits in resentful silence during your final sessions instead of spending the time helping you make a reasonable plan for continued EFFECTIVE treatment. But you don't have to respond with another game. Just cancel: leave a phone message, email her, text, send a message by pigeon carrier, smoke signals whatever! Just ditch her and move on. Be the bigger person here and end things with dignity for yourself. And if she responds, ignore it. There is no more need to engage with this person. Look out for your own mental health and put your energy into moving on rather than trying desperately to get her to re-engage with you.
Thanks for this!

You're upset that she didn't respond to your request for an earlier appointment. That's fair. Better to show up and discuss it or call to cancel.

You seem to have made up your mind that you pull a no show, so I guess the only real answer is to do what it is you want to do and be done with it.

I don't know what she would do, I don't analyze or fabricate intense "what-if" scenarios about my therapist.

I went, expecting it to be the last session but she says she already submitted a new Auth so we again have 10 (now 9) sessions left, but that this "is the last extension" and I need to find a new t in five weeks.

I think I'm going to call tomorrow to my insurance and just have her removed as my provider so none of this will matter anymore. There will be no sessions.
