Do any of you know of any helpful worksheets or exercises that can be incorporated into therapy? I have been trying to find some online and nothing is really getting me what I want. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Hi, I know of many, but on different topics. Would you let us know what your goal is with the worksheets so I could provide something specific.
For example, my favorite currently would be on mindfulness from this book, http://www.amazon.com/Dialectical-Be.../dp/1572245131 full of worksheets that can be done in therapy and on your own, but there are worksheets for all types of topics from abuse, anxiety, addiction, interpersonal relationships, grieving, spirituality, creativity, and so many more. |

When a child’s emotional needs are not met and a child is repeatedly hurt and abused, this deeply and profoundly affects the child’s development. Wanting those unmet childhood needs in adulthood. Looking for safety, protection, being cherished and loved can often be normal unmet needs in childhood, and the survivor searches for these in other adults. This can be where survivors search for mother and father figures. Transference issues in counseling can occur and this is normal for childhood abuse survivors. |
