I have sessions twice a week, so about eight times a month, although for a while one or more a month has had to get canceled because my therapist got sick. I pay a pretty low fee because I'm a student. I don't think at this point I could go once a week without it being really hard on me.

> how often do you have a session per week?

once every week (fridays)
and twice every second week (fridays and every second tuesday)

> how often do you have a session per month?

um... depends how many weeks in a month i guess.. on the assumption that there is four weeks i get... six, i guess.

> and, if you have have bi-weekly sessions or more, how do you afford such frequent sessions?

sliding scale. i was very lucky indeed to find a t who i wanted to work with, who wanted to work with me, who offered me an affordable rate.

I go once per week and a couple of times I asked for (and got) an extra session because I needed it.

Touch topic for me, lol.

I started out with one session per week.

Then moved to two per week.

Then had to move back to one, because of scheduling issues. Session Frequency

So that's four per month.

As far as affording bi-weekly sessions... I really couldn't, lol. But I didn't care. I just did what I had to do. Tried to cut back on other stuff (says the impulse shopper).

I don't have a set schedule. We vary depending on how I'm doing, but most often I go once every two weeks. Sometimes I've gone once a week. I'm lucky I have great insurance so I don't have to pay much.

I've been going about once a week. This last week I got 2, one for couples and one for individual. I'm doing that next week too.

how often do you have a session per month?
Well, 4 times a month, if once a week. And more if you add in the couples sessions I've just started.

and, if you have have bi-weekly sessions or more, how do you afford such frequent sessions?
My insurance does not cover either individual therapy or couples therapy with my therapist. I pay 100% out of pocket. I have saved up some money to pay, and sometimes I take cash advances on my credit cards.

once per week

how often do you have a session per month?

my once per week is a standing appointment on Friday, so my monthly number is as many Fridays as there are in that particular month

and, if you have have bi-weekly sessions or more, how do you afford such frequent sessions?
I would love to go more often but affordability prohibits that. I pay for my therapy myself and it is part of my monthly expenses. I don't have a car (travel 2.5 hours each way by bus to T) and I don't have any extras, just the basics. I live in a cheap apartment, no frills, hand wash my dishes, often hand wash my clothes. I eat cheap--mostly veggies. I just see the expense of therapy as one of the necessities in my life and I make room for it. That doesn't mean it's easy, but it's so important to me so I do whatever I have to do so I can pay for it.

3 Times

how often do you have a session per month?

about 12 + depending on the month

I work two jobs, one pays for therapy the other living expenses since I help support two other adults in my household, one of my Therapists is a specialist who does not take insurance, and my regular T dropped the Insurance company I have with one job because of the hassle with their approval processes and how much they reimburse, the other job does not offer benefits, but it pays for the Therapy.
