A delusion is a belief that is clearly false and that indicates an abnormality in the affected person’s content of thought. The false belief is not accounted for by the person’s cultural or religious background or his or her level of intelligence. The key feature of a delusion is the degree to which the person is convinced that the belief is true. A person with a delusion will hold firmly to the belief regardless of evidence to the contrary. Delusions can be difficult to distinguish from overvalued ideas, which are unreasonable ideas that a person holds, but the affected person has at least some level of doubt as to its truthfulness. A person with a delusion is absolutely convinced that the delusion is real. Delusions are a symptom of either a medical, neurological, or mental disorder. Delusions may be present in any of the following mental disorders: (1) Psychotic disorders, or disorders in which the affected person has a diminished or distorted sense of reality and cannot distinguish the real from the unreal, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, delusional disorder, schizophreniform disorder, shared psychotic disorder, brief psychotic disorder, and substance-induced psychotic disorder, (2) Bipolar disorder, (3) Major depressive disorder with psychotic features (4) Delirium, and (5) Dementia. |

It is not opinion.
I am an MD. A medical doctor with 3 decades of experience working with teenagers. Your insistence on "proof" is a fallible argument. Of course I can not prove anything to you - you live on the other side of the planet from me. But I am telling you right now, young lady, that your mental illness is getting the best of you. Not the demons, doctors, parents or whatever. You are experiencing delusional thinking. There is help for that. Really good help. Help that you absolutely refuse to see BECAUSE of your illness. You are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Let's look at this logically. You are smart, really, let's look at this more analytically. Do you really think every single poster or responder to your posts is wrong and you are correct regarding the harm that would come to you if you shared ALL of your thoughts with your mental health professionals. If if you were to consider medications that offer symptom relief? We(all of the PC posters that beg/urge/implore you to fess up to your docs) are completely incorrect regarding your feelings and symptoms? If you feel that we are so off base, why ask for more help? You ask for help because you realize how completely miserable, tired, scared, helpless and afraid you are. We hear your pain. We do. Your pain is screaming out loud. Please, please, share what you share here with your doctors. All of it. We will be here to support you. Please, Eden, please.

It isnt about if i think you are wrong or right i cant find in any of your posts/replies anything for me to use to back up your arguments and if you want to to believe what you are all saying then i need something that i can say helps to back up your argument which i cant find right now which leaves me with it must be what i first thought because i cant find a reason for why your version would be MORE correct than mine.

Statiscally, PC respondents, seem to agree. That's all the "proof" you'll have. I wish the best for you and hope you feel better soon. I feel so sorry that you are in such a bad, scary place.

But there have maybe been around 10, 20 max who have replied that isnt a very big sample also those are only really from western culture which rejects the existence of anything you can't see with your own eyes and doesnt give me a broad range of people and demographics or different cultures and their beliefs on the subject and for the record i am not the only memeber of my family that believes in demons most of my family does to some degree so it isnt really that strange.

But if you believe in God then your last statement doesnt make sense also that doesn't get rid of the fact that it is still mainly people from western culture that are answering. Which is another thing when you join this site it asks you who the american presidents are and i dont even know most of their names because i am not american but it is compulsory and you cant join if you dont know i had to look it up but man they should ask questions that are not specific to america.

Edit to add: many people believe my belief in God is a delusion too, but I'm in treatment for my more harmful delusions and my belief in God would be a benign delusion - it's not harming myself or others and it doesn't prevent me from living my life as best I can. Think of all the buildings around you and the schools, offices, organizations, etc. Don't you think if they could that demons would destroy these or prevent them being created at all? There are no demons. Even if there were demons, they have no power on earth. And they aren't just attacking you because you're "bad". Please tell your psychologist and pdoc everything you post about. You are not going to feel any better unless you do.

The demons don't care about buildings they like them because it gives them a place to hide. I have told them most of it just not so much gone into detail or told them anything is still happening or has changed.
