So today I went to see a new therapist. She didn't turn out who I had pictured in my mind to be. She immediately asked me about my childhood and as I was all over the place I just answered. But to be honest I don't reveal my childhood to anyone and want it to be a mystery.

But anyways we discussed a lot. But I am not sure what to say for the next session. I literally have nothing in mind except the traumatic incidents that happened to a few yrs ago.

Is this normal or does this mean it is not a right fit?

I feel like it's ok not to know what you'll talk about next. It sounds pretty normal to me. She can ask you questions, or you can just start talking and see what bubbles up to the surface.

That sounds pretty normal. I still sometimes feel that way now, and I have had a great T for years.

Is your next session next week? Something always occurs to me to talk about, but it never feels like I will think of something the night after a session.

I often have no idea what to say in my next session. There are probably things I should talk about. I often felt like things aren't important enough to talk about in therapy.

I think the point of therapy is to talk about anything that's a factor in your world, however minor.
