I realised reading parts here and in conversations with others that I no longer say 'what do I do' when something happens.
Thinking back pre therapy and early stages that was a big part of my life. I ran like a headless chicken when life happened. Looking for that perfect solution. Looking for the 'life on/off switch'.

What was that question all about? I think I'd never learnt how to move through life. So many traumas and such bad parenting. Parented by adult children.

Now I integrate experiences more. I recognize fear, sadness and understand them. Know that it's not forever.

Those moments when I've been at my most manic with unprocessed emotions with T and her steadiness in those times is where the processing happened. The learning to not fight but just be with....

I never realised this had happened until I come up against someone that is experiencing what once was familiar for me.
