I just had a therapy session that changed my mind. When I first read the poll I thought yes... if it leads me to a better place yes... well now I know its a definite NO.

I've never been one to accept that the ends always justify the means in any circumstance actually. Pertaining particularly to therapy, I know there are techniques and modalities that just wouldn't fly with me, and fortunately I haven't had therapists who went there. Philosophically I'd like to be able to say I would do whatever it took to find healing, but practically, I know that just isn't true. I am glad to say though that the methods and techniques and skills my therapists did use with me were effective and were avenues I was able to take in good conscience and relative comfort and safety.

That's why I answered "no."
This is missing the idea. It's not would you take a chance on questionable methods. It's more along the lines of if the result was guaranteed, would you do it no matter what.
