Hi,
I have suffered from a harsh rejection a few time ago. Now I have weird sensations in the body. I feel like I am made of ice or metal or stone. I clench my jaws and feel shaky in my legs and arms. I know that psychological stress can trigger physiological responses. How can I cure these sensations and lead a normal life? Thanks! |

Hi pas345, since this is a psychotherapy forum, have you looked at the other forums on pc for ideas? Meditation, yoga, or other alternatives might be worth looking into that you can do yourself.

Since I started therapy I have experienced some physical sensations that seem to relate to my emotions, I think that when I feel these, the emotions come from a pre-verbal time, and that experiences in later life can trigger off emotions or traumatic experiences from very early childhood. In terms of dealing with them - I find relaxation exercises help, I'm also finding that my relationship with my therapist is helping.
