I think it just depends on what kind of issues you're addressing. If a lot of stuff happened in your life it's going to be a while 6 months-1 year, it just depends on how much you're willing to talk about it and if you want support to work through it. I had 2 very negative relationships that ... yeah, terrible back to back that lasted a total of 4 years and I would say... with the 1st round of depression it took 4-5 months, but I met someone, thought I was happy blah blah and got screwed over. So round 2, didn't hurt as bad as first so I'd say 1/2 the time. During the first round of therapy I did talk a lot about where choosing bad men in my life stemmed, so that was about 2 months worth of weekly visits. 2nd round, I'm stuck seeing a psych at a clinic, so its every month... which is lame but I'm paying cash, and I need that appointment even if I have to wait.

My session went well. I'm now a client or patient of my T. I go in to a different clinic next month for a revaluation by a different Pdoc
