I could suggest it to him, but honestly he does his own invoices and insists on face to face payment I think so he can keep track of things. He even baulks at cash payments which I do from time to time.

I don't think you're stupid for it. You hoped, that's all. You may feel foolish for hoping for something you really want (I do so too ) but you aren't stupid.
Thanks for this!

I read this and I'm having a caffeine crash, so I feel irrationally sad and awed. This is an eulogy I'd want.

My father is in hospital with a kidney stone. W seems concerned, but I don't believe he'll come to any harm.

I'm up before the sun feeling all negative and my knee is hurting a lot (arthritis) and i think i better do some work on my attitude since I'm the only one that can make something positive out of this trip for myself. I am rather ashamed of letting me get dragged down by my own crap. Ugh. Hugs to everyone that wants them and happy thanksgiving.

Coming home from picking up bonus teen, not having to get the little off to school, not having to dash to work? Sign me up for going back to sleep!

Happy Thanksgiving US Couchies and happy Thursday for those who don't celebrate. See you after a nap.

Today I am thankful for my amazing online friends -- many of whom who do not even know their worth and value. Here's wishing each of you can see for a least a moment today how wonderful you are.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it. I am in a rather grateful mood myself at the moment: I have an amazing T who helped me a lot today; I had lunch with a good friend and felt better about myself afterwards, simply because it was enjoyable and I felt like a person it can be enjoyable to be around; my niece is spending the afternoon with me tomorrow; and on Saturday and Sunday I get to sing Bach's Christmas Oratory, which is some of the most joyous music in the world, for me.

I'm still very sad about the state of things in the world and my country's disgraceful behaviour, but the cloud in my life has lifted a bit, and that cannot be a bad thing.

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate and Happy Thursday to everyone else!
I've had a rough month and a half with the stbx's bs, but I'm ever so thankful to be mostly free of him and not numb anymore. I have a future now

A teen here on the unit is throwing a fit because she wants to go home. I feel bad for her, I really do, but I want to sleep. I already took my PRN meds because people screaming like that trigger me, as it reminds me of my own screams.

Nurse just came to tell me she'll be handing in her phone in 24 minutes and she'll probably calm down then.

This is the first Thanksgiving I've spent alone with celebrating it. (I was invited places, but no one wants to share Thanksgiving with someone who doesn't eat more than a few bites at a time anymore.)

Yet I woke up this morning feeling like it was a holiday anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate!

(PS: I did eat a piece of the stopdog-recommended kringle this morning. You did not lead me astray. Though I think it would taste better with tea.)

Ah yes, the kringle - I had no idea that particular bit of Scandinavian food culture had been exported until I read about it on the previous couch! It's pretty much the stereotypical baked goods here. (We call it kringla, and the Danes and Norwegians say kringle, which is not pronounced like "kringle" in English.)

I've been packing samples of tea into individual ziploc bags all evening - it's for an Advent calendar where every day you get a different kind of tea. We're a group of people doing it together, so each person has to provide a couple of different kinds for all the others. It's a fun idea, but it's pretty expensive as Advent calendars go! I look forward to discovering what all the others have sent me. (It's tea only, by the way - no other herbal infusions, no rooibos, and nothing with flowers or perfume or bits of fruit or such nonsense.)

I got brave couchies and texted my t about the scheduling. He said he was happy to discuss it by text so i sent one saying as long as the discussion wasn't the same one we have had for the last 2 years where he admits he has overextended himself and he will try not to let it happen again, and I have always preferred fortnightly appts but he keeps filling up his diary and pushing my appts further out. I sent it last night and I am awaiting his return tet. I wasn't aggressive I just stated the facts exactly as written here.
