|
I think I am a masochist. Although, I didn't like it when my mom threw a box of toys on me and my infant son while I was nursing him and etc. Mental health workers came into my house and sexually abused me and I didn't like that. Also, they mentally abused me and I didn't like that. They yelled at me and did not permit me to sleep, but I didn't like that. So I was wondering if I would be a masochist if I didn't like this stuff?

Simply put, a masochist finds pleasure in suffering. Doesn't sound like that fits the bill for you.

If they abuse you the way you describe I suggest you fill out police report regardless if you like it or not

You would be a masochist if you LIKED those things. Sometimes I think I'm a masochist for staying in therapy...lol.

2. a person who is gratified by pain, degradation, etc., that is self-imposed or imposed by others. 3. a person who finds pleasure in self-denial, submissiveness, etc. This is a dictionary definition. |

How so?? Maybe I don't have that. Maybe I just like to suffer to soothe myself. I don't know. I honestly thought I was a masochist because of what it is defined as. Maybe I don't have it.
