My grandma is elderly and cannot take care of herself by herself. My mom informed me that she doesn't have any attachment to her mother and only thinks of her as someone who raised her. My grandma cannot drink too much water because her kidneys are functioning like that of a 98 year old. My mom kept offering my grandma water and said that it was good for her. My mom started crying because she hardly has any money and then said that my aunts shouldn't be trying to keep her alive. Is that Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy?

No one here is qualified to diagnose anything, as its a peer support place. I would take your concerns to your gp about this. Over here we have elder abuse prevention groups try to find one of them, if you have them where you are.
