When junior emerges from under the bed, I may nibble on his ear, just to say I've done it. I totally follow the crowd.

Note to self - if MKAC is ever in the vicinity - put hats on the cats so their ears are safe.

Wait...just last night you had cats sitting in leather wing chairs sipping port and nodding at you!

The image made me think of you as Holland Taylor's character in "Legally Blonde," btw.

My cats and I are cordial, but that doesn't mean if their ears are in nibble peril that I won't take extreme measure to assist in ensuring their ears remain nibble free.

And it would be a dignified hat, not a thug hat.

Ahem. Kitten ears are totally nibble-able. None of my cats have suffered any ill effects from having their ears nibbled. Kitten ears are second only to mule ears in terms of nibble-ability. Mule ears are freaking awsome and the one mule I know loves having the tips of her ears nibbled.

I would have to say all animal ears are safe from me in terms of nibble. It never occurs to me to put their ears in my mouth. Why would one do such a thing? What do you find so compelling about their ears that you must put them in your mouth instead of just petting them? How did such a thing ever start? Were you just sitting around with nothing else to nibble on? Was it a question of what their ears tasted like? Was it a drunken bet?
When making any list concerning things that go in a mouth and things that do not-animal ears are always, without exception, in my things that do not list.

Is it like the desire to blow raspberries on a babies bottom and nom their tummies? I have wanted to but it makes me uncomfortable somehow. Like the thin edge of the wedge.

I don't think I have ever desired to do either of those things to a baby either.
Ack.

I'm not sure that dignified is a term your average cat would associate with any type of hat placed on them by a human...

A top hat and with a tiny walking stick.
My cats are dandies.
Frankly the one I have would probably think the top hat was just some kind of box and go sleep in it.

Poor Peter-cat got fixed on Wednesday. He spent the whole night after hiding under my bed and when he finally came out on Thursday morning his sister hissed and spat at him when he tried to 'talk' to her. (I figure he must've smelled of the vet's and she wanted no part of that...)
Poor cat is still traumatized. Look at him sideways and he jumps three feet...

My cats don't sleep in boxes. They shuffle and bang them around the kitchen at 2 or 3 in the morning...

They clearly need a lot of practice. Though that would explain girl cat's fascination with tape...

My grandmother has passed and I will never be the same. My heart physically hurts. This is the moment I have always feared my entire life. The one person on the planet who unconditionally loved me is now gone. I'm so so lost
