It depends.....how did your last session end? If it was awkward or raw then I can understand that your T thinks maybe you were going to avoid them, so wanted to clarify the invite still stands.
Or it could be that they simply wanted to lot you know they are back and just didn't think how the second part could be interpreted. (Eg maybe they just put "Your appointment for next week is still standing" but thought that sounded like they were TELLING you to come, so added the last bit to make it more obviously about your choice).

I'd say just ask them and talk about how it came across to you, may open up something interesting.
Thanks for this!

Sounds a bit like something made her think you might not want the appointment anymore. It's as if she reassures you that the appointment is still there, but if you really don't want to go, it can be canceled.
Thanks for this!

Context is necessary, isn't it? Is there some reason you think it's not just an appointment reminder? Was there some reason you might cancel the upcoming appointment? Is she responding to something you wrote?

Because otherwise it sure looks like just an appointment reminder.
Thanks for this!

Context?

On the face of it I would interpret it as a very formal way of saying, " hey, I've been out of town but come back to work starting tomorrow. I'm still planning on our session next week unless, of course, you need to cancel".

Seems like an appointment reminder that allows for a cancellation in case people have been unable to reach the T while they were out of the office. Kind of like saying "I'm going to assume I'll see you at our next scheduled time and will be there, unless I hear otherwise."
Thanks for this!

I interpret this as saying basically, please confirm if you are coming to your appointment.
Thanks for this!

I think she's just asking you to confirm your appointment.
Thanks for this!

I agree that your T is probably just wanting to confirm you are going to be at your session.
Thanks for this!

Thank you. That's what i can't figure out. If he wants me to stop or not. He gave me a reduction on his fee. Just $60 a month for weekly sessions. And at first they were one hour but they started going down. The last month or two they have consistently been ten to fifteen min. They feel very rushed and like he doesnt really have the time. The only thing we do is the eye contact work then says i can go and hsve a good week.

Oh dear - do you think you could talk to him about what is going on? That sounds like it would be confusing.

I might try looking for someone who would be a little more consistent in giving you a full session - would you be open to finding someone new?
Thanks for this!

Do you want the full hour? (And do you want it with him?) If so ask. If reduced session time was not part of your fee agreement, you should be getting the full hour.

It still sounds like an appointment reminder to me, even with the context, but I do think your situation needs to be clarified with him.

Do you want to keep seeing this guy? He seems to be treating you a bit disrespectfully.
