I think given your symptoms supplementing with Magnesium should be automatic. Almost the entire modern world is deficient and the effects are wide ranging. This product is popular:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000OQ...&pi=SY200_QL40 Simple, inexpensive, non toxic. I personally consider all pharma products to last resort only, or for acute situations. I believe they are ALL toxic to the.body and a price will be paid eventually. Benzos are among the worst. I will take a Valium when i am losing my mind, but only then. Docs who Rx this stuff without doing full work up and without trying simple natural measures should be forced to endure an extended Benzo withdrawal. Medicinal cannabis products that are high in CBD are another possible great solution. |

Just take it minute by minute, hour by hour until therapy tomorrow. The doctor's know what they are doing, and you ARE healthy. Anxiety can really mess with your physiological state, which of course increases anxiety. Can you go for a walk today? Or do something to distract you?

Have you ever tried yoga? I suffer from a lot of health anxiety as well and I have found yoga very helpful. Something about listening to my body in this new way has made me feel a new relationship to it and has helped me to feel less worried and more healthy.

Ah, would you think about going for a walk maybe? Exercise has been linked to better moods for most people, and TV watching has been liked to greater depression and anxiety. Maybe trying something different might help? I think for a lot of people just getting out and moving around helps a lot. It ups your positive hormones and all that.

I've heard that dizziness, anxiety and nausea (among other symptoms) are all side effects of Effexor. So if you just started it and are experiencing these things I'd talk to your prescribing doctor and let them know. There are also powerful withdrawals from Effexor and other SNRIs, so I wouldn't stop taking it without talking to your doctor first. Until then just getting outside may be a good idea or trying the other things you said help distract you.
I am similar to you in that I tend to get very anxious about physical symptoms and have spent a lot of time on the phone with my primary doctor and in her office. The most distressing symptoms I've had have that I thought were due to either anxiety or some awful illness were ultimately side effects of medications I've been taking. I am not anti med by any means and take them myself, but Ive been taught by my psychiatrist to never attribute any symptoms to anxiety until every other possibility has been eliminated. It was on and off I guess. The dizziness comes and goes then I start worrying but I have to constantly tell myself it's been less than a week that I got my bloodwork + went to the ER. Just have to train my mind. Of course my therapist cancels today because she's sick so it's been like 3 weeks since I last went. Not going to lie I'm happy because now I can study more haha
