I am currently unemployed and cannot afford therapy sessions weekly. Although the therapist hasn't mentioned it but I understand that the therapeutic approach she follows is DBT.
Would this process be effective? 1) Going through specific chapters of Marsha Linheman's DBT Manual 2) solving the relevant worksheets and handouts 3) Attend therapy session Would it be effective in helping me get better (for eg. at emotion regulation) so that I need fewer sessions? |

I would think it would be helpful. Marsha Linheman's books are great and give you step by step instuctions.
