I am not a huge fan of potatoes in general - but they are interesting.
Because they make you keep your eyes peeled?

I just don't like the taste that much or the texture. They are okay -but I generally choose other things. I like sweet potatoes more than regular kind

I hate boiled potatoes. French fries, crisps and baked potatoe slices (not sure what you English lot call them) are OK.

I was kindly ignoring the mis-spelling and the distressing blinky thing while agreeing potatoes do not.

Where is ex-hankster? Clearly you need her.

I could eat potatoes all day every day. All the time. I love potatoes. It's a problem.

I am simply trying to help you learn Punnish. A language at which ex-hankster is very adept. It would help you understand her better!

By the way, hankster autocorrects to gangster. Hmmmm.

I just ordered earrings for my mum for Mother's Day, but I think something might have gone wrong. I could pick between a home delivery (for a charge) and delivery at a Kiala point (free). I ordered and picked the Kiala point option, but I couldn't say which Kiala point. So what if they deliver it at the other side of the country? I emailed the webshop to ask, but I'm really nervous now.

Alas, I fear exhankster and I shall never speak the same language and our understanding of each other must be that of those from different worlds willing to be tolerant of the other's idiosyncrasies. I think exhankster could understand me better too.

I've never actually had real mashed potatoes - just power from a sachet cooked with soy milk.

Oh, I forgot. I do like boiled potatoes in stamppot.

To reiterate what you all said several couch pages ago: Feelings are horrible. And when they come up during a therapy session and then have to be packed away and stuffed out of sight it's just hard. I honestly don't know how to handle it sometimes.
Also loneliness. That's unpleasant, too. (Although as it's a member of the class of feelings, it should perhaps not be mentioned on its own. Some semanticist I am.)
And Fridays are the worst day of the week. Always always.

And one of my cats has lost her appetite. I can make her eat a little and she drinks just fine, and she is not apathetic and doesn't show any symptoms of pain or a tender stomach or anything, so the vet I telephoned told me to wait and see. It's just so worrying - she's such a greedy feeder, normally, but since yesterday she licks the food daintily and takes a few mouthfuls and then walks off. (I think she might be a bit constipated judging by litter tray evidence, so I've fed her some paraffin oil, also on the vet's advice.) I suspect the couchinistas can sympathise with my concern.

Don't forget to war whoop! Or use some strategically-placed glitter.

That DOES sound yummy! I've never thought of cream cheese on a potato but I've gotta try it.

Ranch dip, butter, salt and pepper. That's yummy too!

Hmmmmmm. ;-)

Mmmm, mashed potatoes. I can't stand the powder variety, and it's fairly simple to make it from the actual taters. (A potato ricer is also a handy thing to have.)

Are new potatoes a big thing in other countries? Here, the first new potatoes are almost a sacred meal - and woe betide him who has no new potatoes to the pickled herring at Midsummer! But I suspect that it might have a lot to do with our short growing season, and many months with old boring potatoes every year.
Thanks for this!

I just spiralized an apple - it cores it as you crank the handle. And creates long apple spirals that are quite fun to eat.

And partner doesn't freak out like she does when I pull out the mandolin. The unfortunate slicing incident of '14 still looms a bit large, it seems.
