I would think the first one would give you points for using a good word.

I can't really say t got 'worked up' today. She just seemed a little, if not offended, maybe taken aback a bit. I dunno. Oh I should just shut up and say instead I am a mass of confusing feelings about her right now and not try to explain any of it.

I was using worked up loosely. I find a therapist getting offended at any level to be them getting worked up.

I just woke up! After all the activity this morning I just crashed after lunch. I am blaming the white bread. I never eat white bread but had to buy it yesterday.
Just read the article on when therapists die. The Empty Chair: How Patients Cope With the Death of Their Therapist - WSJ I asked my T a couple of months ago what would happen if he suddenly died. Who would notify us? Would be notified at all? He didn't have any answers. I am going to ask him again this week. |

Not sure how it is different from my inability though? It is because I'm incapable of it that I want to stop wanting it. So I'm afraid you would not gain anything from the trade....

I wrote a poem I'm really proud of, for Art class. Now I'm nervous the teacher won't like it. But the poem is just about as close to perfect as it can be - it says everything I want it to say. So it would really disappoint me if the teacher dislikes it, or thinks I'm whining/exaggarating, or anything.

If she dislikes it or thinks it's worthless or whiny, I'd take it personally, you know? Because it's so close to my experiences, so real.. it's impossible not to take it personally. If she dislikes the poem, I'd feel as though she's doubting my experiences.

I don't really think she'll think it's rubbish, because a couple of months ago I was triggered by someone playing a video of a child throwing a tantrum (it triggered me because the screams reminded me of my own) and when she came to ask me what's wrong, I told her, and she said something like "Yeah, I understand, I know you went through that" (well, she didn't say that exactly, but that's what she meant). So I don't think she'll think I'm whining or making stuff up. Still, I'm nervous.

I sent t an email last night first apologizing for bugging her again and then attempting to better explain what I meant yesterday. she replied after I'd gone to bed, so I just saw it this morning. She assured me I'm not bugging her, and said she thinks she understands, and offered to meet in a week instead of 2 weeks as we'd scheduled. I wish I could, but I can't afford to go back to weekly. Especially since she said we're not doing therapy anymore, that I don't need therapy anymore, that what we're doing now is working on my individuation process. I can't justify paying for weekly with the other expenses in my family right now (h's hearing aid and stomach medication mostly). But just hearing that she thinks she understands what I was getting at yesterday, is helpful. I guess I do still worry about what she thinks of me.
Well I didn't finish my laundry yesterday and still have another store to go to, to finish the grocery shopping for the week. I spent way too much time all up in my head yesterday so I'm gonna be busy today making up for it. I'll pop in here and there though. Later couchies, I hope you all have a good Sunday! |

I'm glad your T's response was helpful, and I'm sorry you can't go back to seeing her weekly even though you would (appear to?) find that helpful. I'm lucky - after a deductible, insurance pays everything without even a copay.

Thanks. I don't submit to my insurance, basically because the insurance company is the parent company of who I work for, and I don't need them knowing about it. Also, we do alternative stuff that isn't covered anyway (energy work) and I don't need them poking their noses into that, either. So I figure out how to pay out of pocket as I go!

I found out last night that no one around me has been understanding my great joke. I have been using "a metric butt-ton" as an exaggerated unit of measurement. Ie: I drank a metric butt-ton of water. Turns out that no one around me knew that butt is an actual unit of measurement, but an English one for half a ton of wine, and so calling it a metric butt ton seemed really funny to me. Turns out ONLY funny to me for that reason. Other people just thought it sounded funny.

I have never understood metrics.
But tons are interesting FAQ: What is the difference between the long ton, short ton, and metric ton?
