Hey guys.
I had psychiatry yesterday and I ended sessions because I went cold-turkey about a week ago on my medications (Paxil, Wellbutrin, Concerta).
I didn't even want to actually END the sessions. Normally the psychiatist would have an appointment a week later to check-up, or even offer a phonecall. He just shook my hand, I paid, and left (crying).
Normally when a T or whomever terminates with me I have to have a heads up because I have bad separation issues.
But, it ended that same exact session out of nowhere.
I had therapy after that and I cried like a ***** during that session about it.
I am just hurt.. I guess.
I cried and forgot to pay that session for psychiatry and he called me back into the office to pay, I felt so ******.
I am about 7 days cold turkey so far and I am doing good except some symptoms.
I just don't know how to feel about this whole situation. I feel betrayed.

I'm confused you say "I ended sessions" but then you say you were terminated. Can you clarify what happened?

I'm very concerned as to why you quit all 3 meds cold turkey. Is that even safe?

It's a nightmare. Ended up back on them. The side effects are brutal

I bet!! I can barely ween myself off of any drug without suffering major side effects. Can't even imagine going cold turkey. Wishing you well!

Did you and or did the pdoc terminate you? If the doctor did terminate, you should have been given more than just a heads up. What did the pdoc say?
