Today in session I had a huge wave of dizziness hit me and there for a moment I thought I was going to pass out. Has this ever happened to you? What did you do to feel better?

I've had panic attacks where I felt a bit lightheaded and shaky and felt like I was going to be sick. Sometimes, T has tried to work on relaxation exercises, or else I've just tried to plow through it. One time I actually asked to leave to use the bathroom, when I felt really sick, and I stayed in there a few minutes, trying to calm myself. Another time, I asked to do that in marriage counseling, and he suggested we all walk together out in the courtyard instead. The fresh air (and not all staring at each other) definitely helped. Though obviously the walking part wouldn't be good if you really felt about to pass out, but the fresh air might.

I think the big thing is to let your T know what you're feeling. And then you can figure out the best way to handle it.

Oh god where do I begin with this.
I passed out in therapy once I got up. My therapist ended up catching me and sitting me up; it was so awkward (I am a girl, hes a guy). He called to get my blood pressure checked and all. It was very embarrassing.

I feel dizzy when my T asks me to close my eyes when talking about something or remembering something then opening them. I don't know why but it's a scary feeling for sure.

Yes when my anxiety has been bad. I always told my T. She would offer to do grounding techniques or say some things to help calm me. I had to go to the bathroom a couple of times when I felt like I was going to be sick and try to calm down in there.
