I'm looking for a site similar to the one below. I found it mentioned on the BPD board sticky. I couldn't get the link to open on my phone. I'm interested in learning about different therapies and trying to locate therapists that offer them near me.

My recommendation is to check to see if you have an EAP (Employee Assistance Plan at work). Most EAPs have such websites that can direct you to the best resource(s). An EAP is a kind of clearing house in that they can provide different options to you and get you in touch with help appropriate to your needs. In most cases they will act as a third party in that they will 1) make you the appointment and 2) and innitiate the required paperwork for the benefits used. In this way, the service should be entirely anonymous. However n the case of work related difficulties(harassment, anxiety, stress, etc) in the workplace, they can also act as an advocate on your behalf with Human Resources. My EAP even sent me a care package. (mine was thru 'Warren Sheppell'
If you wish to do this all on your own you might wish to start with asking yourself whether you are: goal oriented, process oriented, or emotionally oriented. Goal oriented is self explanitory; CBT would fall into that category. The other two are more feelings directed with a lot of exploration of your feelings and behavior. |

That was the extent of their help. I am definitely looking for a therapy/therapist that will help me explore my feelings and behavior. That us what I've been struggling with and I don't know who to go to or what type of therapy would best suit me. I'm not familiar at all with this type of thing and I just feel lost. |
