Happy Halloween everyone.
This got me thinking of what your t does on Halloween, do they celebrate Halloween?
I had a talk with t this week about ghosts she believes in them and especially tonight, here in Ireland Halloween is called Oiche Samhain, meaning All Hallows' ' Eve, the one night where spirits raise from the dead.
My t has seen ghosts.
I wondered if you could visit your ts house for a trick or treat, what would you dress as and would you trick or treat them?
I can't go to my ts as she will be out at a show Halloween theme
Thanks for this!

I would not trick or treat but I'd go to an adult party. I'd go as a fairy because my T says she'd like to believe in fairies. Either that or someone from Game of Thrones because we've both read the books and love the show.

I assume it is the woman's high holiday.

I find halloween to be a tedious and annoying interruption.

One of my ts used to being game of thrones into our sessions and I would use the characters to play out parts of my life. It was amazing Halloween theme

T also sees children and has a Halloween themed bucket (kind of like those trick-or-treat buckets) filled with markers. It's been the whole 4 months I've been seeing her though, not just for the Halloween season.

My T carves pumpkins for Halloween, and last year I think I remember she mentioned she dressed up. When she carves pumpkins, she lets the pumpkin decide what it'll be and just lets the knife go where it ought to. I think that's kinda awesome. I would love to trick or treat at my T's house, but I think I might get in trouble if I did.

If my T believed in ghosts. I'd have her put on a 24hr pysch hold.

I know my T gets a ton of trick or treaters and has to buy a huge lot of candy.
I know that because Halloween is my favorite holiday but BC we live in the country we don't get trick or treaters and every year I am sad because I don't get to hand out candy. All the kids go to town for trick or treating now

We were talking about it and she told me how she has tons of kids in her neighborhood. Her kids are old for trick or treating but I suspect they are headed to.parties etc. Her youngest is still in middle school so he might be trick or treating.

It's been almost thirty years since I last trick-or-treated, and I am not going to resume the practice with my therapist. (There are adults who trick-or-treat?) Any of them.

However, I think No. 1 would make an excellent Nanny Ogg.
Thanks for this!

I love Halloween, but it's a time of terror for me due to a home invasion when I was a teen (3 armed gunmen) that started with a knocking on the door. Because knocking on my door (or the anticipation of it due to Halloween) causes extreme terror, I'm forced to leave the lights off and hide for the evening.

I have no idea if my therapist does Halloween or hands out candy. It's not a scene I can place myself in mentally (as in being a trick or treater).

eta: I will take my dog out this afternoon, during daylight, to get treats from a couple of neighbors who do that for dogs.
Hugs from:

T says she tries to keep it fun but non-scary. She dresses in a witch costume, sits on her front porch and hands out candy to the kiddos. Her house is decorated and has a big inflatable ghost or witch decoration that bows and bends in the wind....

Knowing my therapist she probably wouldn't go in to the office dressed up for Halloween. Actually, I don't think she is there on Mondays. I tell you what though.. she does one hell of a good witch cackle... almost scared the you know what out of me!! Lolol. Have a safe and fun Halloween Mona😊😊

I wanted to add that I saw my T today and I did ask if I could trick or treat at her house. She laughed and said no, don't go to my house. So yeah, I'd definitely get in trouble if I trick or treated there haha.

I know my T dresses her little baby daughter up and hands out candy. She showed me pictures-last year, she was a fluffy little elephant-so cute!

I'm not sure what my t does for Halloween. If I could trick or treat her, I'd go as a bat since we both love bats.
