Admittedly nervous about the holiday season, honestly. Anyway, we had a good talk, my therapist and me, from the matter of managing my anger over certain stuff to setting ground rules to avoid misunderstandings. We talked, I got to come to some realizations about me, and I honestly feel like I got a weight off my shoulders, thank goodness. And I'm definitely going to be doing some cognitive distortions work, as I have quite a few distortions, honestly. More than a few.

I've also been doing something called Memory Eraser, which kind of serves to alter or delete unwelcome memories that are basically dragging me down. For me, it hasn't completely altered or deleted them. It's mostly helped them become more manageable. Basically just helping file it away. Not minimizing it, but making it a lot more manageable and easier to handle. My therapist actually told me to give myself some credit for the work I'd done and the growth I'd achieved, which...honestly was really surprising, but wonderful to hear.

So all in all, I would say I had a good session. Hopefully the holidays will go well. Very well, at least.
Thanks for this!

I've never met Memory Eraser before. It's not the same as burying feelings, I take it?
