So my Ts office called me today. They said my T needed to mail me something and she wanted them to check my address, as she knows I've moved recently. I've been seeing my T for nearly two years and I've never had any mail correspondence from her or her office.

I'm so anxious and hung up on what it is. I was really worried it would be bad news, like a termination letter. Or I thought it could be something nice, as she knows I'm having a hard time. Then I felt stupid overthinking it, it will turn out to be some admin thing...

I don't know why I'm thinking about it so much! I guess I will know if a few days.

I'd be anxious too!
I hope you'll get the answer soon, and everything will be ok.
I don't think you T would tell you any bad news via email

Do they give you a year end summary, number of visits? That would have had enough time to go out and be sent back by now, if it went to an old address.

can you ask her? do you see her before you will get the mail? i agree, i don't think a T would terminate a client thru snail mail. but, after reading these forums for a while, it seems like anything is probable

Most likely it is something rather innocuous like a billing statement. Try not to panic about it.

It's just weird because she has never sent me mail before... they bill via email and I pay upfront anyway. My next session isn't for another two weeks. I'll will just have to wait and see I guess

I got a letter from t2 saying I needed to change an appointment because she was going to be out of town. It was a form letter. I thought it was strange, because they have called me other times when I needed to reschedule (I have a regular time/day with her and at the time was scheduled for the rest of the year so there was lots of notice). Another time I got an article in the mail from her during a time she was gone for a couple of weeks. I am fairly sure it went to all of her clients.

So maybe it is no big deal. I hope so!

Turns out it was a card to say that she's thinking of me during this difficult time I'm going through and that she's proud of me Mail from T
